Set in central Montenegro at the foothills of Durmitor in Dobri Do, about 55 km from Nikšić, Nevidio Canyon is one of the country’s most remarkable natural attractions. Stretching for 3.5 km, with walls rising 350–400 m and a depth ranging from 0.5 to 25 m, it begins at 935 m above sea level and ends at 810 m. In some sections the canyon narrows to just one meter, which means certain passages can only be crossed with alpine equipment. Because of its steep rock walls, sunlight never reaches the canyon floor, leaving much of it in permanent shade. Its name reflects that mystery: for a long time, parts of the canyon were literally “not seen,” until it was first conquered in 1965. Today it remains one of the most impassable canyons in Europe and a truly unique place to visit, admired by more than two thousand domestic and international travelers each year for its untouched nature and raw beauty.
Many visitors describe this experience as one of the most beautiful moments of their lives.
Join us and discover why this canyon is often called “really unreal.” Certified guides are guaranteed for this tour.
