Spend a week immersed in dance, playful exploration, restorative movement, friendship, and plenty of laughter.
Set against the tranquil beauty of Mar de Jade, this retreat brings together movement and mindfulness in a lively, balanced experience that supports both body and spirit through a blend of activity and rest.
More than a movement experience, this retreat invites deeper connection—to yourself, to others, and to the simple joy of being alive.
This will be our third retreat at Mar de Jade, a place we cherish for its natural beauty and nourishing setting.
With more than 25 years of experience teaching Nia, yoga, Essential Somatics, and expressive movement, we are committed to offering a warm, inclusive, and playful environment where friendships grow and movement becomes a true celebration.
We simply love to move—and we love moving with you.
Daily schedule – approximately:
We love this place, and you may already know us. We both began our careers as professional dancers. In 1998, we joined forces to teach Nia, and we led that work together for about 15 years. Since then, we have also studied and taught yoga, Essential Somatics, fitness, movement-based expressive arts, Continuum, 5 Rhythms-inspired movement, and much more. We simply love to move—and we love moving with you.
Garden Room
Single: $
These are guest rooms with a loft shared between 4 women. The women’s dorm is a guaranteed rate; therefore, Mar de Jade reserves the right to place roommates from different retreats together in order to fill the dorm, or to reassign participants to a guest room single or double if the dorm does not fill.
Set high above the coastline, this room offers a graceful blend of comfort and classic Mexican style. Rich textiles and custom-made mahogany furniture create a warm, timeless atmosphere, while the bright, airy layout invites you to slow down and take in the view. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto a private balcony, where sweeping ocean vistas become part of your daily rhythm.
Inside, the room is thoughtfully appointed for a restful stay, with a comfortable sitting area and a futon that can be converted into an extra bed when needed. Each room also includes an en-suite bathroom with natural bath amenities for a simple touch of wellness and ease.
Please note that these rooms are located on high floors and require steps to access. For larger groups, a limited number of two-bedroom Ocean View suites are available.
