About Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini is described as a potent energy resting in the lower energy center of the pelvic region, the Mooladhara Chakra, in the form of three and a half coils. The term comes from “Kund,” meaning pot. This energy is linked to the three main channels of Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna.
When Kundalini remains dormant, it may contribute to physical, mental, and emotional imbalance. Kundalini Yoga is designed to help guide this energy upward through the body’s seven chakras. Using asanas, pranayama, meditation, and mantra chanting, the practice supports inner awareness and overall well-being on physical, mental, and spiritual levels.
Tradition and Purpose
According to the lineage described in this course, Kundalini Yoga was first taught by Lord Shiva to Parvati, later passed on by Yogi Matsyendranatha to Gorakhnath, and continued by generations of yogis devoted to physical and spiritual growth. The practice is presented here as a path toward self-knowledge, balance, and higher consciousness.
The training also explains the role of cerebrospinal fluid in the spinal cord and how specific asanas, intense breathing, and mantras are used to stimulate energetic movement through each chakra. The aim is to support a deeper experience of awareness and a more balanced life.
