Day 4: The day begins with yoga, meditation, or breathwork, followed by breakfast. Integration continues with the psychotherapist and facilitator through 1:1 support, connection lunch, and an optional nature walk or sauna. In the evening, there is a cacao ceremony and body movement, then a group dinner, with time for the sauna and fire pit.
Day 5: A final bodywork programme of yoga, meditation, and breathwork is followed by breakfast, a closing circle, and mandala creation. Departure is at 12:30pm, with drop-off in Amsterdam city center or at the airport.
Please note: To apply for a retreat, you will first be invited to an exploration call where questions can be discussed. If the retreat feels like a good fit, you can then complete a full screening form and pay a deposit to secure your place. A consultation with a psychotherapist will follow to confirm suitability.
The retreat takes place at a beautiful venue 45 minutes north of Amsterdam. Set within an authentic 19th-century Dutch abbey, the accommodation offers a peaceful setting for your 5-day retreat. Every participant has a private room, and the spacious common areas provide room to rest, journal, and settle in. The quiet location allows for reflection and nature walks, and the chapel is available for private meditation and reflection.
This is a typical programme outline. Every participant is different, and some activities may feel more suitable than others. There is plenty of time for reflection and nature, and there is no expectation to attend every activity.
Consultations and group calls take place online via Google Meets.
InwardBound brings together psychotherapists, PhD scientists, and holistic therapists who combine science and spirituality in a safe and supportive container. Working in the tradition of Dr. Stan Grof, the team helps create the conditions for people to connect with their own inner healer.
The organisation also draws on a long tradition of psilocybin use in Ireland. Inspired by Celtic ancestors who worked with wild mushrooms of Northern Europe for healing and spiritual growth, InwardBound continues this land-based tradition in a modern setting that supports ceremony and reconnection with nature.
To help make this form of healing accessible across different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, financial assistance is available for suitable candidates.

About Rob I often say this work comes from necessity rather than theory. It is rooted in lived experience, not something I simply studied in a book or followed because it became fashionable. My path has been one of healing, and psilocybin has been a vital part of that journey since my first psychedelic experience in the foothills of the Dublin...
