Spend a nourishing half-day in quiet practice with Maria Straatman, moving through a gentle rhythm of sitting, walking, reflection, and shared community time. This retreat offers a simple yet meaningful structure designed to support presence, stillness, and mindful awareness throughout the morning.
The program begins with a sitting session from 9:30 to 10:15 am, followed by walking practice from 10:15 to 11:00 am. A second sitting session runs from 11:00 to 11:45 am, creating space to settle more deeply into the experience. From 11:45 am to 12:00 pm, participants will hear a short dharmette, or brief talk, before joining together for temple cleaning from 12:00 to 12:15 pm.
The retreat concludes with an informal lunch gathering at 12:15 pm. Guests are asked to bring a bag lunch, offering a relaxed moment to connect and ease back into the day after the morning’s practices.
