Join us for a guided walk through our pioneering nature restoration and species reintroduction projects.
The UK is among the most nature-depleted countries in the world. As we explore how to restore the health of the planet, we also discover how deeply this work supports our own wellbeing, helping us reconnect with the interconnectedness of all life.
Over the past decade, we have created a mosaic of ecologically rich, self-sustaining ecosystems. The land is now abundant with species, and we have seen the return of several animals once thought to be extinct in this region, including beavers, wild boar, and pine martens.
In partnership with The Species Recovery Centre, we are also working to return lost and endangered species to these landscapes. Through carefully managed breeding and release programmes, we aim to restore balance by reintroducing rare species into the ecosystems they evolved within.
At present, our focus is on two species: White Storks and Wild Cats. During the walk, we will visit both and learn about the important role they play in their environment.
Accommodation Options
Deer Cottage
A thoughtfully converted former livery stable, this practical three-bedroom cottage sits on one level and is surrounded by nature on our regenerative estate. The bright main living area enjoys triple-aspect views and an easy open-plan layout, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table for six, and two sofas, one of which converts into a double sofa bed. Please note that there is no dishwasher or freezer. The main bathroom includes a shower over bath and toilet.
The first bedroom is a double room with a private shower room and is accessed only through French doors from the courtyard, offering a sense of privacy. The second bedroom can be arranged as a king or twin and has its own bathroom with a shower over bath. The third bedroom is also a king or twin, with a private bathroom featuring a shower over bath; this room can be reached from the courtyard and via pocket doors from the living space. Each bedroom opens onto an outdoor patio and lawns.
Set across 173 acres of wild landscapes, the cottage is surrounded by ancient woodland, rewilded meadows, edible hedges, a lake suitable for wild swimming, and abundant wildlife. Guests are welcome to explore the estate.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra cost. Please request the pet policy in advance so arrangements can be made. Two of the three bedrooms can be set up as kings or twins; as standard, they are prepared as kings, and twin configuration should be requested in the booking notes.
Hermitage Loft Suite
Located in the eaves of a carefully restored 15th-century Hermitage, this loft suite combines quiet luxury with timeless simplicity. Vaulted ceilings frame two inviting bedrooms, each furnished with sustainable natural materials and a large single bed. A private walk-in shower room and separate toilet add comfort and privacy, while luxurious linens, fluffy towels, and local eco-friendly toiletries are provided throughout.
Filled with natural light and softened by real fires and gentle textures, the suite opens to far-reaching views toward the 7 lake. The Hermitage runs entirely on renewable energy. Guests enjoy deeply nourishing, hyper-local meals freshly prepared by the Medicine Kitchen Team on a Full Board basis, served family-style at a beautiful living-edge community table or in the light-filled dining room. The property also offers space to explore 173 acres of regenerative estate.

Step into a quietly luxurious stay within our carefully restored 15th-century Hermitage, where natural light, real fires, soft textures, and expansive views across the 7-acre lake create a feeling of ease and timeless simplicity.
Each Sumptuous Room is furnished with sustainable, natural materials and includes a superking bed plus a double sofa bed. A private walk-in shower room features high-quality fixtures and thoughtful details designed to surprise and delight. For your comfort, we provide luxurious linens, fluffy towels, and local, eco-friendly toiletries.
Dining: Hermitage rooms are offered on a Full Board basis. Enjoy deeply nourishing, hyper-local meals freshly prepared by our Medicine Kitchen Team. You are welcome to gather at our beautiful living-edge community table, where meals are served family-style to encourage conversation and connection, or choose one of the other tables in our light-filled dining room.
