Sonja Denelzen, R.Ac. offers holistic facial rejuvenation acupuncture and acupressure for anyone seeking a natural way to refresh the face.
Bring new life to your skin with Cedar Healing Arts’ Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, a non-surgical, whole-body approach to supporting a radiant complexion. This treatment uses carefully placed needles to stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory systems, helping to nourish the skin from within and restore a healthy glow. In addition to softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it supports collagen production for better elasticity. Unlike Botox, which limits blood flow, this method encourages increased circulation and oxygenation so your skin can look naturally revitalized.
Most people notice visible changes after five sessions, though a course of 10 weekly or bi-weekly sessions is recommended for the best results. Once the initial 10 treatments are complete, maintenance sessions are typically scheduled every four to eight weeks. The result can be a refreshed appearance that may take 3–7 years off the face.
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this approach to skincare and graceful aging is deeply holistic. It looks beyond the surface to address internal imbalances in Qi, blood flow, yin, yang, and meridian blockages connected to the body’s organs—factors that often show up on the skin. It also considers the spirit realm of life. In TCM, the complexion reflects the Shen, or spirit-heart-mind, and the face can reveal important clues about vitality as well as mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Lines in certain areas may correspond to emotions that have been overly expressed or held in. Releasing those underlying emotions may also help soften the appearance of those lines.
Included in your session with Sonja Denelzen, R.Ac. are comprehensive TCM diagnostics, facial and body acupuncture, facial gua sha, and a botanical oil massage, along with herbal and nutritional guidance. This treatment works beyond the skin to support Qi, blood flow, and emotional balance, helping create a brighter complexion and a greater sense of well-being.
*Cosmetic acupuncture may be combined with Botox or fillers. It is recommended to schedule a few facial acupuncture sessions between injections. After Botox wears off, acupuncture can help restore Qi and blood to those areas that have been less active, and future injections in the same area may be more effective because the face has been reinvigorated in between. Some people have even been able to reduce the amount of injectables they use with this approach. Please wait 4–6 weeks after injections before booking a facial acupuncture treatment.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupressure offers the same benefits, but instead of needles, the treatment is delivered through a facial massage that includes acupressure points.
This helps enliven the facial tissues and improve blood flow, supporting healthier-looking, glowing skin.
