With Kelly Price
When the body is shaped by chronic stress, persistent pain, illness, or trauma, it can begin to feel like a place of unease rather than safety. Over time, the nervous system may settle into patterns of dysregulation that affect physical and psychological well-being, relationships, and our capacity to experience joy, meaning, and purpose.
This therapeutic retreat weaves together yoga therapy, trauma theory, PolyVagal theory, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Neuroscience to create a holistic path toward embodiment. It invites you to befriend your nervous system and build both physiological and psychological resilience in a supportive setting.
Across each session, you will be guided through trauma-informed active and restorative yoga practices designed to help you connect safely with your body, breath, heart, and mind. These practices support embodied resilience while offering cognitive and somatic tools for calming or energizing the nervous system, deepening mindful awareness of patterns that sustain suffering, and shifting your relationship to stress, adversity, and change.
The retreat also centers a relational, empowerment-based approach to healing interpersonal and collective trauma. In doing so, it honours the indigenous roots of yoga while recognizing the complex ways systemic oppression shapes individuals and communities through their cultural identities, social locations, and roles.

Participant Support
These sessions are not a substitute for therapy. Somatic-based practices like yoga can bring implicit memories to the surface. It is recommended that you have support in place, such as a counsellor/therapist, Elder, or someone you trust, to help you process any experiences that arise.
"The facilitator Kelly Price is world class and I felt fortunate to learn from and with her."
