Learn practices that help you feel fit in your body and more deeply connected to yourself. Move from your core center, explore authentic emotional expression, and make space to write, share, and discover.
Hosted at Casa Chango in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, this retreat welcomes individuals, couples, and groups of friends.
Here, feeling fit is understood in a personal, body-inclusive way. There is no single “fit” body type.
Spend a week in paradise with new friends, the beach, fresh local food, and plenty of opportunities to inhabit your body in nourishing, joyful ways. This retreat is designed for anyone curious about fitness as a source of freedom and power. Expect a week of embodiment, physical practice, movement exploration, writing, yoga, nature, and exceptional food. Classes are centered on building greater body awareness through core strengthening, stability, and mobility work. No experience is necessary, though it is recommended for those who already have some movement background and are ready for new challenges.
There will be two daily classes. The morning session focuses on functional movement and fitness, helping you feel stronger, more capable, and more connected in your body. Afternoon sessions go deeper into movement pathways in a conscious, safe space where you can move authentically. These classes also include writing, sharing, and observation in an inclusive, loving, non-judgmental setting. You are invited to explore movement with curiosity and emotional connection. Everyone is welcome to participate as much or as little as they wish.
Throughout the week, you’ll also experience a cacao ceremony and a cold plunge, offering new ways to connect with your breath and body. There will be an option to try aerial arts, and open gym access is available outside class times. Everything is optional and designed to support your own authentic embodiment journey.
When you’re not in class, you can enjoy healthy meals, relax by the pool, swim in the ocean, read in hammocks, and spend time in nature. Move, play, breathe, feel, stretch, and express yourself at Casa Chango.
Daily Schedule Sample: Everything is optional!
Included in the program are a cacao ceremony, one ice bath, and outings to favorite beaches for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and releasing baby turtles into the sea. Optional evening adventures include a bioluminescent lagoon visit and a local night market.

“Big thanks! As a first ever yoga retreat I fear I have been hugely spoiled. Your offering was amazing. The yoga was so individualized with great instruction, the accommodations were beautiful and peaceful, the circus instruction was unexpected and fun. I had a lot of private time to hang with my daughter. And of course the food was delicious, healthy, clean and full of fun ethnicity. Everything seemed over the top . I have nothing to offer to have made the experience better. I will certainly spread the word.”

ECO RETREAT CENTER
Casa Chango is an eco retreat center committed to living in harmony with the natural world. The property is off-grid and powered entirely by solar energy. It uses dry composting toilets, and humanure and food waste are turned into soil that nourishes the plants and trees on site. Guests and staff are asked to arrive with a mindset of learning from and respecting nature. Gray water from sinks and showers is filtered to water the plants, so natural shampoos, conditioners, and toothpaste are requested for your retreat. The buildings are designed to stay cool and comfortable, and the team hopes you enjoy your stay.
Casa Chango is also animal friendly, with several dogs and cats on site. They will not enter your rooms, but they will be present around the property and in common areas during your retreat.
Native insects live in this part of Mexico. The property is fumigated regularly to keep insects away from rooms, while also recognizing their role in the balance of nature. Many shared spaces, including the gym, dining area, pool, and lounge, are open-air and have no walls, so you may encounter native insects, birds, and lizards during your visit.
