"I wish to dance what I am…the non-existent self…that which is not found in my memory." -Min Tanaka (dancer)
"The body is alive together with the earth. Freedom and Love are just words. We need to realise it with the body. -Sometimes when I see you dancing an environment I feel more the river and I feel more the wall or whatever, so it's like you give a body so we can feel the nature. -If you can see the sky beautiful, it's my big pleasure, rather than my own dance. To dance nature towards freedom and love." -Extract from an interview with Min Tanaka

Activities
Mindful movement sessions with Carme Torrent
Daily life is full of wonder when we have the serenity to observe it in silence. Becoming aware that we are part of something larger, perhaps infinite, can be truly mind-expanding.
Life is movement. However subtle or slow, this constant vibration is present in every cell of the Universe. The breathing of the Universe is also present in our bodies. When we look closely at this movement, a beautiful dance in itself, it awakens the same wonder as a child gazing at the sky.
In the movement sessions, we will explore Body Weather, Katsugen Undo, Yuki, and other techniques.
Yoga classes
Yoga classes are suitable for all levels. The sessions are based on the principles of Kashmir Yoga.
In this practice, asanas become special moments in which we sense the calm at the heart of all life. The spaces between postures are dedicated to meditation, giving us time to become familiar with the body’s natural state of absorption and vibration that can arise unexpectedly.
We will explore the body exactly as it is in each moment, including any emptiness, tension, or reaction we may feel. Deep listening becomes the guiding principle, without expectation.
Meditative Hiking
Meditative walks and longer hikes are an essential part of the retreat and are easy and accessible for everyone.
Through experience, meditative hiking helps us understand our deep connection with nature. With every step and every breath, we realise that the energy within us is the same as the energy outside us.
Nature is our greatest teacher. Silence and deep listening help us enrich everything it has to offer.
There will be two 2-3 hour meditative walks in nature to awaken the senses and develop mindfulness, including forest bathing and creative activities.
One day will be devoted to a half-day meditative hike, leaving after breakfast and returning in time for a gentle yoga class. It is a beautiful chance to enjoy Ordesa National Park and the Sobrarbe-Pyrenees UNESCO Global Geopark.
Meditation & Satsang
Meditation
Daily morning meditation offers the best possible start to the day.
We use simple, accessible techniques you can continue at home. Universal points of focus include posture, breathing, bodily sensations, sounds, and more.
Satsang
In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community. Satsang is a gathering to share concerns, questions, and our deepest insights. It is also a time to meditate together, contemplate nature, and sing meditative songs or mantras.
Joyful Silence & Electronic Detox
Joyful Silence
Every day, from the end of satsang or free time until after lunch the next day, Casa Cuadrau holds a joyful and peaceful silence. This deep silence is healing, calming the mind and helping us find peace within ourselves while listening more attentively. Sleep becomes more restful, and the following day we return to asana practice, meditation, and other activities with greater clarity.
Breakfast and lunch are enjoyed in silence as mindful eating. By taking part in this shared silence, we support one another’s practice.
In the afternoon, we return to mindful speaking and deep listening, allowing for more authentic connection.
Electronic Detox
Internet service is not provided in order to preserve the retreat atmosphere and help you fully enjoy contact with nature.
On arrival, you will be asked to switch off your mobile phone and all electronic devices and embrace a digital detox.
Before arriving, please let family, friends, and colleagues know that you will be unavailable during your stay.
Tea Ceremony
A silent moment to connect with nature, yourself, and the group.
The tea leaf is considered a medicinal plant for both body and soul. The tea ceremony is an ancient practice in many cultures and reminds us that separation from nature is not real. Tea is a dialogue between nature and humankind.

Karma Yoga
Karma means action, and Yoga means union or integration.
Together, we are invited to discover that even the simplest task can become a mindfulness practice.
Karma Yoga is the practice of acting with full awareness and attention, skilfully and harmoniously, without attachment to results. The value lies not in achievement, but in the quality of presence brought to each gesture. Washing dishes, chopping vegetables, arranging meditation blankets, tending the garden: each action becomes a chance to fully inhabit the present moment.
During the retreat, we practice together for about one hour each day. It is an invitation to bring the principles of yoga beyond the mat while caring for our shared spaces: the kitchen, common areas, and garden.
A simple, profound, and voluntary practice.

With a background in architecture, she brings a thoughtful and highly embodied perspective to movement, space, and presence. Her path has been shaped by years of study and practice in dance, including extensive work with the Body Weather Laboratory, the movement practice created by Japanese dancer Min Tanaka. During several years in Japan, she studied with him directly and collaborated...
