When wisdom and compassion are nurtured together, daily life can take on deeper meaning. At the same time, the constant pull of technology, social media, and other pressures can leave us feeling scattered and overwhelmed. This retreat invites young adults to explore how to meet the world’s hardships and gifts with greater purpose, steadiness, and connection.
Over the course of this week-long retreat, participants will draw on the Buddha’s teachings as a foundation for strengthening both heart and mind. The program will focus on cultivating moment-by-moment awareness in a relaxed, natural way, supporting an embodied sense of clarity, ease, and connection.
The retreat format includes daily guidance for developing natural awareness throughout the day, along with group meetings with the teachers, time for questions, and space for discussion. Practice will unfold in both scheduled and unscheduled periods, allowing room for different rhythms of relaxed awareness. The retreat will also include silence, as well as occasional group exercises designed to explore what it means to practice in community.
This retreat will be team-led by Keri Pederson and Jason Bartlett. Both new and experienced meditators are warmly welcome, and the invitation is open to all who feel called to join.
