What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is an active meditation that uses the breath to help release emotional residue from the body and nervous system. It can support a greater sense of inner safety, open the heart, and interrupt patterns of depression or anxiety. As a self-healing practice, it offers an effective and powerful way to emotionally detox. There are many forms of breathwork; this approach was learned from David Elliott, who describes it as active meditation or pranayama breath for spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional healing.
What are the benefits of Breathwork?
The benefits are wide-ranging and can include releasing anger, shame, grief, sadness, guilt, fear, doubt, betrayal, anxiety, limiting beliefs, conditioning, trauma, and physical, mental, emotional abuse from the body and emotional system. Because the body holds what the mind may have forgotten or suppressed, the breath can move beyond thought and allow the nervous system to process and clear what has been stored, opening pathways for ease and connection.
This practice offers a deep exploration of your essential self, helping dissolve limiting beliefs and past trauma while inviting self-love, acceptance, intuition, creativity, freedom, and peace. It may also help regulate the nervous system and inspire action when you feel stuck or depressed. By bringing spirit and body into greater alignment, it can create clarity and help you “connect the dots.” As emotions are processed, physical healing may unfold more naturally, and self-love, gratitude, creativity, clarity, and peace can become more accessible.

CeSar EreT Retreat Guide
Cesar earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering in the Netherlands in 2005, but chose to leave that path to follow the calling of his soul. Born and raised in Venezuela, he has walked a medicine path since December 28, 2007.
He studied with Taitas deep in the Colombian Putumayo jungle and spent 7 years learning with the Yanacona Tribe under the guidance of Taita Jose Silva, who prepared him in their sacred traditions. Cesar later studied with the Shipibo tribe, taking part in dietas and other shamanic practices that expanded his experience and understanding, especially in the safe and respectful conduction of Ayahuasca ceremonies. He uses voice and guitar to channel the healing vibrations of Ayahuasca, and his open heart, humor, and kindness help people feel at ease.
