Ideal for absolute beginners as well as experienced wild swimmers, this two-night experience offers a guided introduction to some of North Wales’ most beautiful open-water swimming locations.
21st - 23rd May 2027
25th - 27th June 2027
This retreat combines challenge, fresh-air adventure and deep rest in equal measure. You’ll feel the exhilaration of cold water swimming in some of the most scenic lakes and rivers imaginable, supported by a team of experts, before returning to the calm of a secluded glamping site. There’s time to unwind with a book in a hammock, enjoy the stillness, and fully absorb the post-swim glow.
You’ll stay beneath the stars in spacious bell tents, complete with proper beds, cosy duvets and plenty of blankets. Hot showers are on hand to help you warm up after each swim, and wholesome, delicious meals are included throughout your stay. There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn from the experienced swimming guides, who stay with the group for the full few days and share their insights around the campfire.
For extra relaxation, you can make use of the onsite wood-fired sauna, which looks out over a wildlife pond where frogs and water lilies can often be spotted.
No previous wild swimming experience is needed, as all the essentials will be taught during the retreat. You only need a swimming costume and a towel, though you are also welcome to bring a wetsuit if you prefer.
Places are limited to 10 people, and this retreat is for over 18s only.
Includes all meals, accommodation, tuition and equipment. A £90 single supplement applies if you would like a tent or a double bedroom in one of the shepherd’s huts to yourself; simply choose that ticket option when booking.
