This progressive Taoist healing training offers a practical pathway through the Chi Nei Tsang system, moving from foundational abdominal sensitivity and organ work in CNT I, to deeper stagnation release and “Chasing the Winds” in CNT II, and finally into full musculo-tendon vibrational therapy through Tok Sen in CNT III.
The retreat is highly hands-on. You will work directly with structured Chi Nei Tsang methods, including activating the Healing Hands and Magnetic Tan Tien, opening the Eight Wind Gates, assessing abdominal pulses, releasing congestion in the intestines and diaphragm, and restoring the flow of Qi and blood.
Each level builds on the last, strengthening both precision and therapeutic skill. First, you learn to clear abdominal blockages and support organ function. Next, you develop deeper techniques for releasing trapped wind and stagnation in the tissues. Finally, you expand into Tok Sen vibration work to ease structural tension in muscles, tendons, and energy lines.
By the end of the retreat, you will have a solid technical foundation in Chi Nei Tsang, with greater sensitivity, structural understanding, and the ability to work safely and effectively within the Universal Healing Tao framework.
Schedule: 30 July | 19:00–20:00 | Introduction; 31 July – 4 August | 14:00–18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia; 5 August | 10:00–12:00 | Review class with Senior Instructor; 14:00–16:00 | Practice class supervised by Senior Instructor.
36 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review & practice class)
What You Will Learn: activating the Healing Hands and Magnetic Tan Tien; opening the Eight Wind Gates around the navel; locating and working with the Navel and Tan Tien Pulse; releasing abdominal congestion with core CNT hand techniques; detoxifying the small and large intestine; releasing the diaphragm and improving abdominal breathing; stimulating abdominal lymphatic drainage; releasing deep tension in the psoas muscles.
This first week covers the foundations of Chi Nei Tsang I, or Internal Organ Chi Massage. You begin by awakening the Healing Hands and Magnetic Tan Tien to build sensitivity in the palms and fingers, creating the energetic connection needed for safe abdominal work.
You will learn to open the Eight Wind Gates and assess the structure and pulls of the navel. Using techniques such as scooping, spiraling, rocking, kneading, shaking, and patting, you work to release congestion, excess heat, and emotional tension held in the abdomen.
Special attention is given to the small intestine, large intestine, diaphragm, abdominal aorta, lymphatic system, and psoas muscles. As Qi and blood circulation improve in the abdominal area, the organ systems can return to better functional balance.
This week creates the technical and structural base for CNT practice, preparing you for deeper organ work and more advanced Chi Nei Tsang levels.
Schedule: 7–11 August | 14:00–18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia; 12 August | 10:00–12:00 | Review class with Senior Instructor; 14:00–16:00 | Practice class supervised by Senior Instructor.
36 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review & practice class)
What You Will Learn: locating and discharging the Twelve Winds from the body; using the elbow technique to release deep stagnation; activating specific acupressure and pulse points; improving lymphatic and blood circulation; releasing trapped wind from the abdomen and organs; projecting fresh Qi into the vital organs and glands.
In week two, the training moves into Chi Nei Tsang II, centered on the method known as “Chasing the Winds.” Within the CNT II system, winds are understood as trapped pathological energy stored in the tissues and organs.
You will learn to identify the pathways of the Twelve Winds and discharge them through structured techniques, including the CNT elbow method. This deeper pressure work helps break up long-standing blockages and restore healthy Qi, lymphatic, and blood flow.
The training also includes work with acupressure and pulse points linked to organ function. After stagnant energy is released, you learn how to bring fresh Qi back into the organs and glands to support balance and vitality.
This week builds directly on CNT I and expands your ability to work with chronic stagnation through greater therapeutic precision.
Prior knowledge of CNT I is recommended for participation.
Schedule: 14–16 August | 14:00–18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia; no review class.
18 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops)
What You Will Learn: Tok Sen vibration techniques for muscles and tendons; working along the Sen Sib energy lines; releasing paravertebral and lumbar tension; addressing neck, shoulder, and scapular tendon tightness; releasing stagnation in hips, thighs, knees, and lower limbs; using specific hammer and pestle techniques for different body areas; improving circulation of blood and Qi through vibrational therapy.
This final week focuses on Chi Nei Tsang III, or Healing Harmony Tok Sen. Using wooden hammer and pestle tools, Tok Sen transmits mechanical vibration into muscles, tendons, and energy lines.
You will practice in prone, supine, side-lying, and seated positions, applying structured hammer techniques along the paravertebral muscles, lumbar region, hamstrings, calves, abdomen, chest, shoulders, arms, and neck. The vibration reaches deeper than manual pressure alone and helps release tight tendons and compressed tissues.
Special emphasis is placed on the Sen Sib lines and on common areas of tension such as the neck, shoulders, lower back, knees, and muscles. Different hammer types and angles are used according to the area being treated.
This week extends Chi Nei Tsang from abdominal organ work into full musculo-tendon-meridian therapy, giving you tools to release deep structural tension and support the circulation of Qi and blood throughout the body.
Prior knowledge of CNT I is recommended for participation.
This retreat is for participants who want practical, hands-on training in the Chi Nei Tsang system and are ready to work directly with the body and abdominal energy.
It is especially suitable for those who want to: learn structured abdominal organ massage within the Universal Healing Tao system; develop sensitivity in the hands and the ability to assess pulses and abdominal tension; understand how emotional stress affects the organs and how to release it safely; improve Qi, blood, and lymph circulation through manual techniques; work with deeper stagnation through “Chasing the Winds”; expand into musculo-tendon vibrational therapy through Tok Sen.
This retreat is ideal for committed students, bodyworkers, massage therapists, and practitioners seeking technical precision, energetic awareness, and disciplined hands-on practice.
This retreat is not recommended for those who are uncomfortable with close physical work and abdominal massage practice.
It is also not suitable for those who are looking for theory only, prefer light relaxation instead of structured training, expect instant results without developing skill, or are unwilling to practice consistently and receive feedback.
Chi Nei Tsang training asks for focus, responsibility, and respect for therapeutic boundaries. The work is practical, precise, and progressive, developing through direct experience.
