We are thrilled to return to Bali for another special journey. When people ask about our favorite destination, it is impossible to choose just one, because we love every place and community we visit. Still, Bali holds something unique. The people are remarkable, the food is exceptional, and the culture, landscapes, and islands create an atmosphere that is hard to match. With each visit, this retreat continues to grow richer as we discover even better places to stay and explore.
This will be our sixth yoga retreat in the magical land of Bali, Indonesia. The Balinese people left a deep impression on us during our visits in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2023. Spirit, artistry, kindness, and a balanced feminine and masculine energy are woven into daily life there. Bali may truly be the yoga retreat capital of the world, and we have found an incredible way to experience it.
The guiding theme of this journey is balancing our energy and our lives: body and spirit, masculine and feminine, nourishing food and drink, work and play, speaking and listening. In Bali, harmony and balance are central values, even in the understanding of “good” and “evil” energies. We will explore this perspective, along with related ideas throughout the retreat.
We will stay in three different retreat centers, each chosen for its own special qualities. After our first two nights in Sanur, we will take a boat to the small island of Gili Meno and spend three nights at the rustic and relaxing MaoMeno yoga retreat center. Yoga takes place right on the property in the yoga shala. Gili Meno has no motorized vehicles, creating a peaceful setting with beautiful white sand beaches for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling with turtles. A private boat snorkel trip to the best snorkeling spots and beaches is also included. Breakfast is included every day, along with 5 dinners.
Back on Bali’s main island, we will take a day trip to Ubud, the art, yoga, and spiritual center made famous by Eat, Pray, Love. There, we will take part in a water cleansing ritual at Tirta Empul Temple and Pools, visit the Monkey Forest, sample local dishes, and browse for wonderful local treasures.
For the final five nights, we will stay at Bingin Beach Retreat Center near the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the property includes a beautiful swimming pool and an exceptional yoga space overlooking the pool for our sessions with Roy and Liz. During this part of the trip, 2 meals a day are included for 5 days, along with delicious healthy food, juices, coffee, tea, and more. Our group will be limited to a maximum of 15-20 people. The food is organic, much of it coming directly from the garden, and great care is taken with every healthy detail. Please note that we ask everyone to refrain from alcohol while staying at our retreat centers to preserve the sacred atmosphere for our yoga practice. Moderate drinking offsite is okay.
Please plan to arrive in Bali, flying into Denpasar International Airport, on or before July 23, 2026. You may need to leave a day early in order to arrive on time. A visa is not required, though this can change, so please check in advance. Your passport must also be valid for at least 6 months, which is the minimum required.
Note: If you have taken an international retreat with Roy before, deduct $50.
Please also consider travel and flight insurance if you are concerned about health or cancellation.
In the spirit of yoga and union, all are welcome.
