Aerial yoga in Frome offers a fresh way to experience movement, balance, and ease. With a fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling, you can explore familiar shapes from a new angle. Inversions feel more accessible, stretches can open more deeply, and the whole practice brings a light, playful quality to the room.
The hammock transforms the practice. Postures that may feel challenging on the floor often become easier with the added support. Inversions — where the head is lower than the heart — can happen with greater ease and a sense of safety. Because you can combine your body weight with the hammock’s support, deep stretches may feel even more spacious.
There is also an element of joy to it. Being lifted slightly off the ground can awaken a sense of curiosity and play that many adults rarely get to experience. Swinging, hanging, and moving through space can feel both freeing and grounding at the same time.
I offer aerial yoga as private 1-to-1 sessions only in my yoga room in Frome. This allows for my full attention and a pace that is tailored precisely to you. If you are looking for group classes, I also offer Hatha yoga and Yin yoga.
Do I need yoga experience for aerial yoga?
No previous yoga or acrobatics experience is needed. Annelie Lily will guide you through each step from the beginning and adapt the session to your level.
Is aerial yoga safe?
Yes, when practiced with a qualified instructor. The hammock is securely rigged and designed to support significant weight. Annelie Lily is trained through One Yoga and Wellness as an aerial yoga teacher.
Can aerial yoga help with back pain?
Many people find aerial yoga supportive for back issues. The hammock allows gentle spinal decompression and supported stretches that may help relieve pressure along the spine.
What should I wear?
Fitted clothing that covers the backs of your knees and underarms works best, as it helps prevent the fabric from pinching. Please avoid loose clothing and remove jewellery.
