Spend the holiday season at Casa Chango Mexico, where training, rest, good food, and joyful company come together in one unforgettable all-inclusive escape. This eco-resort was co-created by dreamers, artists, and circus performers, creating a setting that feels both inspiring and deeply welcoming.
Choose a private or shared room and enjoy three healthy, delicious meals each day. The dance/yoga studio and open-air circus gym are available for training 24/7, with space for skill sharing, focused practice, private lessons with master teachers, group workouts, photo shoots, jams, dance parties, and plenty of hot tub time.
During your stay in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, you’ll have the chance to experience beach trips, nature excursions, hikes to the river, massages, and more. The retreat is designed to give you the kind of experience you want, whether that means movement, relaxation, adventure, or all of the above.
Everyone is welcome, including friends, families, and kids. Come on your own or bring your crew.
It’s for you.
This holiday training retreat is ideal for circus artists, aerial students, and fitness lovers, as well as people in bodies that feel out of shape, older, tired, or simply ready to reconnect with movement in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you’re an award-winning performer or someone wondering how fitness fits into your life now, you are welcome here.
If you’re working with injuries, fatigue, or nervous system overload, you’ll be met with care. If you’re feeling creaky or aging, you’ll be supported. If you’re energized and ready to focus on your goals, that’s welcome too.
This is a space without a “cool kids club.” You’re invited to arrive exactly as you are and begin from there. The intention is to support one another with honesty, openness, and room to thrive.
Each day includes at least one hour of group training in flexibility, conditioning, handstands, core work, or dance. Participants are always free to join any movement or wellness practices that appeal to them, or to train independently. Boundaries are respected, and the circus gym and dance/yoga studio remain open 24/7.
Please note that during the week of Jan 2-9, some classes for other retreats will also take place, so shared use of the practice and training spaces will be required.
Private or semi-private lessons can be booked with master teachers PJ Perry, Micah Walters, and Kerri Kresinski. Sessions can be tailored to specific goals, creative exploration, or simply a fun and relaxing experience.
PJ Perry is a corde lisse specialist from Bellingham, Washington, who has been performing in the air since 2008. Her work includes solo, duo, and larger group pieces that have taken her around the world. She has performed with Circus Monti in Switzerland, Friedrichsbau Varieté in Germany, Venardos Circus in the United States, and Acrobatic Conundrum in Seattle, along with recurring local shows and special events such as Moisture Festival. Festival appearances have also taken her to the Western Australia Circus Festival, the Russian Circus Princess Festival in Saratov, Russia, and The Golden Horse Festival in Bulgaria. She currently focuses on solo rope and synchronized duo rope with her partner, Eve Diamond, through their project Girls Gone Rope. She also teaches year-round with the Bellingham Circus Guild and coaches students locally and online worldwide.
Micah Walters is a movement coach specializing in flexibility, acrobatics, and handstands. He brings two decades of coaching experience across gymnastics, dance, yoga, and fitness. His teaching is rooted in the idea of “Alignment first, then amplitude,” meaning he emphasizes corrective work and a strong physical foundation before pursuing deeper flexibility or advanced skills. Drawing from gymnastics, ballet, and circus arts, he guides students through gentle isolated stretches and then into more integrated work that supports flexibility skill development. Core stability endurance is central to his approach, and students value his informed, intelligent teaching style, especially his focus on active flexibility and building core and back strength.
Kerri has spent more than 25 years performing and teaching acrobatics, dance, and aerial arts. Her work as both artist and teacher has centered on deepening her understanding of the body. She believes that with patience, persistence, and a positive attitude, anything is possible. Her teaching emphasizes foundational technique, functional anatomy, and body mechanics, helping students feel embodied and confident in their movement and aerial practice. Beyond skills and sequences, she teaches how to identify, adapt, and create your own movement, and how to fully embody each skill in a way that feels satisfying for both mover and audience. Her expertise has been shaped by working with students of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities.
Add private lessons with master teachers to your package and train on your specific goals with PJ Perry, Micah Walters, or Kerri Kresinski.
