LOTTERY RETREAT — Registrations will be accepted until 8:00am on Tuesday, July 7, at which time participants will be selected by lottery.
In this winter retreat, we will deepen our awareness of ourselves through steady, compassionate attention. Insight meditation offers a way to step out of our habitual entanglement with thought and open to a more intimate, sensitive relationship with life. Rooted in stillness, this practice can awaken the heart. We will explore sitting meditation, walking meditation, and loving-kindness meditation amid the quiet beauty of the winter woods.
Tim will provide evening talks, meditation instructions, and small group interviews to support your practice. This silent retreat is open to meditators of all experience levels.
Partial attendance is not available. Please also consider joining only if your current life circumstances support a meaningful modern renunciation practice: remaining offline and away from phone and text communication for the full retreat period, with possible exceptions in urgent family situations.
CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

RETREAT COST
In keeping with the Buddhist tradition, none of the registration fee goes to the teacher(s). Participants are encouraged to offer teacher dāna during the event in support of their livelihood. Dāna refers to generosity, or freely offered giving, and more information about this practice and the “economy of gifts” is available on the Donation page.
