This uplifting week is designed to nurture connection while also inviting you to reflect on meaning and purpose. Throughout the retreat, the focus is on supporting mental wellbeing through practices such as metta, gratitude, savouring, and joy.
So often, we are led to believe that self-improvement must be constant, as if we are not already enough. This retreat offers a different perspective: there is nothing to fix, force, or become. Instead, you will be invited to explore connection, gratitude, mindful movement, and a range of practical tools that can help you feel more joyful and more deeply connected.
During the week, you will have the opportunity to settle into your practice and take it further. Dynamic classes will blend playful flow with accessible vinyasa, helping to awaken your potential while strengthening and mobilising the body. Yin yoga and meditation will create space for stillness, compassion, restoration, and healing.
With an emphasis on intention and reflection, this retreat encourages you to discover your own potential and deepen your appreciation for both practice and life. Through meditation, journaling, and workshops, you will build positive habits and enrich your retreat experience, leaving with practical skills and tools for a healthier, happier life.
Fuerteventura offers a striking natural setting, with an azure ocean, rolling sand dunes, and dramatic orange volcanic landscapes. Time in nature is woven into the week, offering space to feel uplifted, inspired, and fully present.
I believe everyone has the capacity to shape the quality, meaning, and direction of their life. We can be strong, healthy, happy, and adaptable at any age. As a teacher, my role is not only to plant the seeds of practice, but also to create the right environment for them to flourish, and I have found that this happens best in an open space where kindness, positivity, and laughter are present.
My training includes 200 hours Hatha, 300 hours Mixed Modalities, 100 hours Myofascial Yin Yoga and Mindfulness, a range of anatomical courses, and Meditation Teacher Training. I am still learning, and some of my most meaningful experiences have come in the studio with Azulfit guests. What draws me here is the spirit of play, warmth, fun, and the freedom to experiment and grow.
My teaching style centres on curiosity and connection. Yoga classes are designed to energise and empower, while also creating a strong sense of calm and mental focus. My meditation classes are highly personalised, drawing on a variety of practices to support stress, anxiety, grief, pain, concentration, compassion, or simply the peace of stillness and quiet.
My love of yoga began more than 20 years ago, when I found myself in New Zealand surrounded by a vibrant group of yogis and my whole world shifted. I discovered a connection to body and mind unlike anything I had known before, and I always felt better when I stepped off the mat and let go of what no longer served me. That experience gave me a place to return to throughout life and ultimately inspired me to become a yoga teacher.
I have trained with the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY), BSY, and Yoga Alliance, and I continue to deepen my understanding of the practice whenever possible.
For many years, I worked as a UK registered nurse. That background gives me a unique perspective on observing the body, recognising that every person is different and faces different challenges. I always approach practice with kindness and a loving heart.
I enjoy teaching a range of styles, from strong vinyasa to relaxed restorative and yin classes. There is space for all of them at different times. My intention is to help you create more space in body and mind, and to deepen your personal practice.
Begin each day with an energising flow yoga class, guided and supported by teachers who encourage you to get the most from your practice.
After class, enjoy delicious vegetarian brunches featuring freshly baked bread, tofu scrambles, hummus, pancakes, and seasonal fruit salads.
The time between classes is yours to use as you wish: rest, book a massage, relax by the pool, unwind in a hammock, or head out to explore.
Light lunches are provided daily, ready to enjoy by the pool, in the sun-filled courtyard, at the beach, or while out exploring.
Each evening alternates between restorative yoga sessions, meditation, or yin, as you soften into stillness, healing, and compassion.
After your practice, a nourishing and lovingly prepared meal awaits. Plant-based, generous, and full of flavour, the food is designed to delight.
At Azulfit, food is an essential part of the experience. Every meal is prepared with care and love, forming part of a complete programme that nourishes and satisfies while also delighting the taste buds.
Across the week, you will enjoy balanced, plant-based, and plentiful meals that prioritise flavour and variety. These meals help revitalise the body and create meaningful connections around the table, becoming one of the highlights of your stay.
This retreat takes place at Surya Retreat in Fuerteventura. The villa is beautifully positioned among the volcanoes, with views out to the sea.

The kitchen and lounge form the heart of the retreat, warmed by a wood-burning fire and framed by beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding countryside.
The spacious gardens include a large swimming pool, jacuzzi hot tub, and sun lounging area. Hammocks offer shaded comfort, while patio chairs invite you to relax with a book or spend time with new friends.
