Join us for our first-ever retreat in Roslyn, WA, and our first retreat to include pickleball.
So often, we become caught up in our thoughts and disconnected from the body. This retreat is designed as an invitation back into embodiment through movement, yoga, hiking, swimming, pickleball, nourishing food, wellness workshops, meditation, prayer time, hot tub relaxation, and cozy time by the fireplace.
Your payment includes 3 nights of beautiful accommodations at Skyline Lodge in Roslyn, near Cle Elum Lake. It also covers all meals from dinner on Thursday through brunch on Sunday, all classes, guided hikes and walks, hot tub access, fireplace time, pickleball access, and more.
Roy Holman and Liz Gross will lead the yoga, guide the hikes and activities, and prepare the delicious, healthy, mostly organic meals. Roy has led more than 120 retreats in Washington, Mexico, Guatemala, Hawaii, Bali, and Costa Rica. Liz began co-leading with Roy in 2015 and has joined him for over half of those retreats. This retreat is appropriate for all yoga and hiking levels, and both teachers are known for their excellent, wholesome cooking.
Meals are included. Breakfasts are healthy and mostly organic, typically offered as a generous buffet with oatmeal, eggs, granola, cereal, nuts, seeds, nut butters, breads, dairy and non-dairy milks, fresh fruit, flax, hemp, coffee, tea, and more. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs. Lunches and dinners will be varied, delicious, and healthy, prepared by Liz and Roy.
Please Note: We are happy to prepare meals for allergies and dietary requirements. However, we ask for no changeable diets. If you request a specific diet, please stick with it. In the past, some guests have requested separate meals, then chosen to eat from the main group’s food instead. This creates extra work and reduces the food available for others. If your request is a preference rather than a true allergy, please be mindful of the effort involved and be honest in your selection.
Rooms and rates:
Please review the room options below and share your first and second choices. We will do our best to meet your needs.
You may arrive at the retreat center any time after 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, and the retreat will end at noon on Sunday. We will share packing guidance closer to the date. In general, bring a yoga mat, hiking gear, swimsuit, pickleball paddle, and anything else you need. You do not need to take part in every activity—choose what feels right for you.
Hike Note: We ask that you trust our experience and judgment. Hiking pace and distance vary from person to person, and we do our best to honor everyone’s needs while staying committed to the group. This retreat includes at least one hike on Friday, weather permitting, and may also include a shorter silent meditation walk.
Expect at least one daily yoga class, held at sunrise or sunset, along with daily meditation or prayer time, usually guided. The schedule also includes a healing workshop, one hike, one shorter silent meditation walk, pickleball, lake swimming, hot tub time, fireplace time, and other activities. We anticipate a maximum of 12–15 participants. All classes, hikes, and activities are optional.
For guests traveling from farther away, we strongly recommend trip and travel insurance. In rare cases, trips may need to be canceled, and we cannot be responsible for lost airfare or other related costs. Given the uncertainty of recent times, travel cancellation insurance is also a wise choice.
A $100 deposit is requested, with the balance due 30 days before the trip. The deposit is generally nonrefundable. Three-fourths of later payments may be refunded if you cancel more than 30 days before the trip, and half may be refunded if you cancel 15–30 days before the trip, depending on the retreat center’s refund policy. No refund is available under 15 days before the trip unless some funds can be recovered from the hotel and retreat center.
