Casa Alma is inspired by the spirit of an ashram or spiritual community, where people come together to cultivate a healthy way of living and integrate practices and techniques into daily life.

This is my home, opened for private retreats for those who wish to share my personal yogic lifestyle and explore Ancestral Medicine for expanded consciousness. I have been studying and practicing this path for more than 15 years.

My approach brings together lifelong exploration of philosophy, science, and ancient self-realization techniques to support optimal health and a deeper integration of body, mind, and soul.

Accommodation

Guests stay at Casa Alma for 3 nights. The property offers 2 private rooms with a bathroom, as well as a separate bungalow with full amenities for longer stays.

Ceremonies and all practices take place in a beautiful open-air space with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Rainforest Jungle. Please bring warm clothing for the evenings and insect repellent.

Delicious vegetarian meals are provided, with vegan options available.

Casa Alma is just a 5-minute drive from some of Bahia’s best beaches, waterfalls, and jungle trails.

Plant Medicine Ceremonies

Mother Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca is an ancient medicinal plant brew from the Amazon in South America. For thousands of years, it has been used for healing, divination, and awakening consciousness. This powerful plant intelligence can support deep physical, emotional, and spiritual transformation.

Ayahuasca is not a recreational substance. It is a sacred psychoactive brew made from two plants: the Ayahuasca Vine and the Chacruna leaf. When prepared together, they allow DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) to be absorbed into the central nervous system, creating a profound experience that is often described as connecting the physical and spiritual worlds.

During the ceremony, which can last up to six hours, participants often experience a deep connection to higher intelligence and a clearer understanding of their true self.

A preparatory diet is recommended before the ceremony so the medicine can assist the body in releasing impurities. This includes avoiding meat, processed foods, salt, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, recreational drugs, and sex. It is also advised to gradually stop antidepressants (MAOI, SSRIs), anti-hypertensives, sleeping pills, or mood stabilizers before participating.

Held in nature, the ceremony includes a fire and sacred medicine music from around the world, enhancing visions and guidance through intention, nature, and sound.

Participants are encouraged to surrender fully to the medicine and what it reveals. The plant spirit is said to know exactly what each person most needs to see, feel, hear, and learn.

Mother Ayahuasca, often called the Grandmother, is understood as a feminine and mother-like spirit that teaches each participant what they need in order to truly heal themselves.

Plant medicines are approached with seriousness and intention. Participation should come from a genuine calling, never from pressure.

I was first introduced to this sacred plant in 2013 through the Peruvian Shipibo tradition. After those early experiences, I began working deeply with the Santo Daime lineage and later sat around the fire with the ancestral tribes Huni Kuin and Yawanawa.

The ceremonies I hold are not tied to one lineage alone, but are informed by the many teachings I have received. I create a space where Ancestral Medicine can teach and reveal itself in the gentlest and most supportive way.
