This advanced yoga teacher training is designed for students who want a complete, structured, and professional learning experience. Covering both the 200-hour foundational module and the 300-hour advanced module in one continuous 56-day programme, it offers a deep study of yoga practice, philosophy, and teaching methodology.
The curriculum brings together Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment, and teaching methodology. It is open to committed beginners as well as experienced practitioners, and no prior certification is required. New batches begin on the 1st of every month.
At Rishikesh Yog Nirvana, the training follows a progressive path that first establishes the essentials before moving into more advanced study. The first 25 days focus on the 200-hour foundational module, making the course accessible even to those with no formal yoga training, and then continue into the 300-hour module for deeper learning and skill development.
Upon successful completion, students receive a Yoga Alliance USA recognized RYT 500 certification. This qualification supports professional teaching at an international level and reflects advanced training in both practice and instruction.
The programme is built as one connected journey rather than two separate experiences. This format helps students move naturally from basic understanding to advanced application, with no unnecessary repetition.
Students learn from certified teachers with extensive experience in traditional study and classroom teaching. Instruction covers Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, meditation, and pranayama.
The training gives equal attention to physical practice, theoretical study, and teaching methodology. Students learn alignment, sequencing, cueing, communication, and class design, building the confidence to teach responsibly and clearly.
The course is a full-time residential programme with a fixed academic timetable. Classes run six days a week, while Sundays are reserved for rest, self study, or optional activities. Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled sessions.
The syllabus is divided into two modules to support steady growth in both personal practice and professional teaching.
Teaching practice is woven throughout the programme and becomes more intensive in the advanced module. Students progress from observation to supervised teaching, with regular feedback and final evaluation.
Residential accommodation is arranged to support the full training experience, with clean, well ventilated rooms, attached bathrooms, hot water, storage space, Wi-Fi access, and comfortable beds with fresh bedding. Nutritious vegetarian meals are provided daily, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in line with the course schedule.
The course is conducted in English, with clear explanations of key Sanskrit terms. International students receive guidance on arrival, daily routines, accommodation, and cultural expectations. Wi-Fi is available for essential communication, and support is offered for basic travel, health, and local living needs.
