Set in the peaceful Eifel National Park, this 200-hour yoga teacher training offers a structured and inspiring environment for deep study, personal growth, and professional development. The program is rooted in authentic Indian lineage while remaining highly relevant for students who want to build their path within Europe.
Training takes place in Heimbach, a quiet location surrounded by ancient forest, clean air, and no urban distractions. The residential Gurukul-style format means you will live, eat, practice, and study alongside your teachers and fellow students for 21 days, creating a close and supportive learning community. The average class size is 4 to 14 students, allowing for individualized guidance throughout the journey.
This multi-style training includes Hatha Yoga, Hatha Flow, and Vinyasa Flow, preparing you to teach all three styles after completion. You will study more than 150 asanas, alignment, variations, modifications, sequencing, hands-on adjustments, and daily teaching practicum. The curriculum also covers yoga philosophy, the origins and history of yoga, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, anatomy and physiology, injury awareness, Sanskrit terminology, pranayama, meditation, mudras, mantras, basic ayurveda, yogic diet, and cultural appropriation.
Students consistently value the balance of traditional wisdom and modern application, especially the depth of philosophy, anatomy, pranayama, and meditation. The training is also known for supporting arm balancing and advanced transitions, with Yogi Sandeep Atri specializing in arm balances and Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Dr. Katharina Austermann focusing on anatomy and Yin Yoga.
Course fees for 2026:
Both packages include 20 nights, breakfast, lunch, dinner, bathroom access, study material, certification, and Wi-Fi. A €500 deposit is required to secure your place and is non-refundable, though it can be applied to a later training if needed.
The next intake runs from 24 Aug to 13 Sep 2026. The training is fully registered with Yoga Alliance USA, and upon successful completion you can register as RYT 200 and teach internationally. This includes opportunities in yoga studios, gyms, wellness centers, or as a freelance instructor across Germany and Europe.
The program welcomes international students from Europe, the UK, Asia, and the Americas, and the teaching language is English. It is suitable for all levels, including beginners, and no flexibility is required. Students do not need to plan to become teachers in order to join; many attend to deepen their own practice and explore the roots of yoga.
Eligibility requires a minimum age of 18 and a maximum age of 65, with a medical certificate requested for applicants over 65, pregnant participants, or those undergoing treatment or living with major injuries. Students must be physically and mentally healthy, open-minded, and able to speak, read, and write basic English.
