Biography
Yogeshwar has been teaching yoga for more than 15 years. He completed both his 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings at the Mount Madonna Center in California. He also spent several years living and working there, teaching in a range of yoga trainings and retreats, and serving as a pujari at the Center’s Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple.
Alongside many years of personal practice, he earned an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Calgary in 2016. His academic work included study of Western and Eastern philosophical and religious traditions, as well as more than two years of Sanskrit study.
Today, he teaches yoga practice and theory to resident karma yogis and in retreats at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga. For Yogeshwar, yoga offers a way to explore the mystery of being conscious and alive, and to rest in the wholeness and peace of our true nature.
