Yogacharya Shekhar

Shekhar Ji’s journey into yoga began in his school library, where a single book sparked a lifelong interest in yogic wisdom. Inspired by what he discovered, he chose to pursue formal yogic education and continued deepening his practice over time. His path led him to Rishikesh, where he studied with different teachers and explored traditions such as hatha and ashtanga yoga.

A significant part of his development came through his connection with Sivanand Ashram in Rishikesh, an experience that deeply transformed his approach to yoga. For many years, he has been teaching traditional hatha yoga, sharing his knowledge with dedication and authenticity. Even today, he remains a student himself, continuing to learn under several masters and refining his understanding through ongoing study and practice.
