
Xia Chen brings a distinctive perspective shaped by both Eastern and Western culture, languages, and treatment approaches. Her journey into acupuncture began after witnessing the remarkable healing experiences of friends and family.
She earned a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, where her studies covered herbal medicine, Western medicine, nutrition and food therapy, and Chinese bodywork.
Xia is licensed in Virginia and Maryland, and holds Diplomate of Acupuncture recognition from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
With a wide clinical background, she has supported many patients in relieving and managing pain, reducing gastrointestinal discomfort, improving sleep quality, and balancing emotional distress.
She finds great fulfillment in helping clients enhance overall wellness through this ancient art.
Outside of her practice, Xia enjoys international travel, long-distance hiking, and meeting new friends on the pickleball court.
