My name is Volker, and I feel it is a divine blessing to be the person I have always wanted to be each day. Alongside this deep sense of gratitude, I am passionate about making the fascinating knowledge of ayurveda accessible to everyone who comes to me. For me, ayurveda is not an abstract concept for a small circle, but a living handbook for life. It helps us come a little closer to ourselves and follow our inner path. Through my cooking classes, workshops, books, and trainings, I show people how to integrate ayurveda into everyday life step by step.
Since childhood, I have been driven by questions about why we exist and what gives life meaning. Finding purpose and depth in my own life is at the heart of my work. A profound impulse emerged when my father was diagnosed with cancer during my teenage years. That painful experience of how fragile life can be sharpened my desire for a holistic perspective. From this grew my interest in alternative healing methods and different philosophical ways of thinking.
My work is reflected in twelve published books, as well as countless cooking classes, workshops, and shared retreats with my wife Anke. What makes these offerings special is that they nourish body, mind, and soul in equal measure. With music, gentle movement, shared cooking and dining, and space for reflection and exchange, we create a light, vibrant atmosphere. This allows us to explore meaningful topics that often stay with people for a long time and enrich everyday life.
