Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Vlad left Europe in 1996 to pursue his studies in the United States, and since then has lived in many countries around the world. His academic background includes Physical Education, Geography, and General Human Communication, and he later earned a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies centered on the theme “The Vision of Good and Sustainable Societies.” For the past 2.5 decades, he has been exploring health consciousness across the physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions.
Vlad first encountered Ayahuasca in 2004. In 2011, he moved to Peru to work directly with Shipibo healers in the Amazon jungle. Along his path, he spent five years working at the Temple of the Way of Light, an Ayahuasca healing center; three years studying with a mestizo tabaquero healer in Iquitos; four years on and off learning from a Quechua healer and San Pedro medicine in the mountains of Peru; and four months in Gabon exploring the Bwiti tradition and Iboga. In 2021, Vlad began facilitating retreats in Soltara, Costa Rica, and in 2022 he helped bring Soltara to Peru by offering Soltara retreats at the La Medicina site.
He holds a deep love for all plants and natural medicines, along with direct experience of many master plants and indigenous traditions. Vlad is a man of many interests, and the best way to truly know him is to meet him in person.
