Viveka serves as President of the Triratna NY-NJ sangha and brings a grounded, contemporary approach to Buddhist teaching. Her work centers on the possibility of awakening in the present moment—through the body, and through a spacious mindset shaped by appreciation and curiosity. Rather than treating practice as something distant or abstract, she invites students to meet experience directly, with openness and care.
Her teaching is shaped by more than 20 years of dharma practice, including extended silent retreats and ongoing exchange with a wide range of Buddhist teachers and practitioners. In addition to her spiritual path, Viveka draws on her professional background as a certified coach, facilitator, and trainer, supporting people involved in social change movements to create lasting transformation. Based in San Francisco, California, she offers a perspective that is both deeply rooted and practically relevant.
