Sat Nam, I’m Usha. I was born at sunrise, and my mother asked my Indian grandmother, “Mama,” if there was a word for dawn in her native language; that is how I received my name. Aarushi comes from my name and means “Awakening of the Sun.”
Each sunrise offers a fresh beginning and a chance for the soul to awaken. This is at the heart of my Kundalini teachings, where movement, breathwork, and meditation work together to awaken energy and support a life lived with greater ease and grace. The practice invites us to step beyond the mind and lead from the heart centre, opening the way to more love, kindness, and compassion for ourselves and those around us.
Although I see this as a deeply spiritual path, I do not believe spirituality needs to be taken too seriously. Laughter is also a powerful way to let go, and that lightness is woven into my practice.
