Tulsi trained as a Satyananda teacher and has spent 35 years devoted to yoga practice, with 20 of those years dedicated to teaching. She first arrived at Mandala Yoga Ashram in 2009 and went on to live there for six years as a resident teacher and manager.
Her long connection with the Ashram has shaped much of her work. Even now, while living off-site, she continues to contribute as an experienced teacher. During her years as a resident, she helped develop and deliver a range of programmes designed to support deep personal transformation and to bring yogic principles into everyday life. Among her most meaningful contributions was creating the Developing Sadhana course, which launched in November 2021. This month-long residential immersion offers participants a lived experience of yoga as a way of life and supports the building of a strong, sustainable personal practice.
With more than three decades of practice and over twenty years of teaching, Tulsi brings both depth and clarity to her approach. Her teaching is grounded and transformative, inviting sincere self-enquiry, emotional and spiritual growth, and practical application of yogic tools in daily life. She holds learning spaces that are nurturing yet honest, spacious yet focused, encouraging people to move beyond comfort and into real growth.
Tulsi also has a professional background in supporting people with special needs and mental health challenges. This experience has shaped her yoga teaching into something compassionate, empowering, and oriented toward lasting positive change. Her passion is to ensure that the deeper aspects of yoga are not only experienced on the mat or during retreats, but are woven meaningfully into daily life.
Although she no longer lives at the Ashram, Tulsi remains connected through selected courses, online offerings, and retreats, continuing to share her experience and insight with those on the path of yoga.
