H.E. Trungram Gyalwa Rinpoche is the founder and spiritual director of the Dharmakaya Center for Wellbeing. Recognized by students around the world as a scholar, teacher, and meditation master, he brings a rare depth of experience to his teachings. He is also the first incarnate lama to earn a PhD in the West, completing his doctoral studies in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism at Harvard University in 2004.
As the head of the Trungram lineage, Rinpoche oversees its monasteries, meditation centers, schools, dharma centers, and groups across the globe. One of the highest tulkus of the Kagyu lineage and a Rime master, he has received teachings from the great masters of all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism. With a strong foundation in Sanskrit and Tibetan, he offers a thoughtful bridge between Eastern wisdom and Western understanding.
His teachings are rooted in the Skills of Awareness, a path that combines profound meditation practices with essential Dharma study, creating a grounded and inspiring experience for students seeking both insight and clarity.
