Tom’s relationship with nature began in childhood, first through scouting and later through formal studies in Forest Engineering. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong path shaped by hands-on experience and a deep respect for the natural world.
For more than 20 years, he has worked outdoors as a landscaper and arborist, building practical knowledge through daily work in wild and cultivated environments alike. His learning also includes wilderness and survival training from Tom Brown Jr., one of America’s best-known tracking and survival experts, and he has translated two of Brown’s books into German.
Over time, Tom has continued to learn from Native American elders and remains connected with traditional teachers and mentors around the world. Today, he brings together outdoor skills, nature awareness, and decades of field experience to support others in building confidence, practical knowledge, and a more meaningful connection with nature.
