More than two decades ago, my first encounter with yoga felt like a magical discovery. In a small, intimate studio, I took my first classes with a highly accomplished and passionate master teacher. The practice, marked by intensity and a deep sense of resonance, captivated me immediately and has stayed with me ever since. With great dedication, I continue to practice and teach regularly, following the path of the self.
I completed my yoga teacher training in India, in Varkala in southern Kerala, where Dr. Malathi guided my studies. Her teaching combines scientific precision with spiritual depth — a rare and inspiring blend that touches my heart and is reflected in my own classes. As a sports scientist and experienced medical training therapist, I use yoga purposefully to help calibrate the body’s complex system in the best possible way.
Calibration instead of optimization. I tailor each class precisely to the body’s condition and the individual needs of the person in front of me. As an Ayurveda massage and Panchakarma therapist, I gladly bring my knowledge and experience into my teaching. I explain the physiological and psycho-mental effects of individual asanas on the body system in detail. Meditation, pranayama, mantras, and prayers complete my sessions.
For me, yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. A beautiful path for exploring and truly recognizing oneself.
