The same person who guides the Medicine Maker process also leads each ceremony. Taita Miguel Mavisoy of the Camsá tribe carries an unbroken ayahuasca lineage spanning twelve generations. He first received the medicine at six months old, under the guidance of his parents, both respected healers in the Camsá tradition. By the age of 14, he had become a Taita and began serving ayahuasca.
He grows the plants on his own land and prepares the medicine himself. From the first morning of preparation to the final ceremony night, he is present throughout every Medicine Maker retreat, embodying the preparation, the ceremony, and the lineage.
His medicine is recognized in Colombia and beyond for its notably sweet taste and the warmth he brings to ceremony.
