About Taita John Muchavisoy
From an early age, he began his path toward becoming a traditional indigenous doctor, officially certified by the Colombian Government. He spent more than 15 years in the jungle, undergoing deep preparation and working closely with the medicines of the earth to support patients with physical, emotional, and spiritual conditions.
Today, his experience spans 25 years of learning from great-grandparents and teachers. His primary guide was the respected Major Taita Hipotito Muchuviddy, his father, who introduced him to the knowledge of medicine in childhood.
For him, ayahuasca is far more than a plant; it is a spirit that reveals itself through its use and invites us to witness our life journey. It brings awareness into the present moment, where we can better understand the reasons behind the experiences that shape who we are.
