About Swami Sivasankariananda
Swami Sivasankariananda serves as director of the Los Angeles Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center and is a respected member of the Sivananda teaching community. She completed her TTC at the Yoga Farm in 1997, followed by her ATTC there in 2008. Her path has included yatra throughout north and south India, as well as to Mount Kailas, experiences that have deeply shaped her spiritual journey.
Known for her joyful approach to teaching, she has a special affinity for Bhakti Yoga practices and brings warmth and devotion to her work. She took sannyas in 2017 and is also a certified yoga therapist with a focus on chronic pain care. In addition, she is part of the faculty at the Sivananda Institute of Health & Yoga (SIHY). From 2015 to 2019, she served as director of the San Francisco Center.
