Born in Belgium, Steven first built a career far from the yoga mat, earning a Master’s degree in Economics and Commercial Engineering before entering the corporate world in Antwerp. His work soon took him to Africa, where he helped develop new business opportunities in Lagos, Nigeria, and later in Johannesburg, South Africa.
It was in Johannesburg that his path shifted in a more mindful direction. There, he met Adelline, who introduced him to yoga and opened the door to a new way of living and working. What began as an introduction soon became a calling. After several years as a managing director, Steven made the courageous decision to leave the corporate world behind and dedicate himself fully to teaching yoga.
He first shared his practice in South Africa and now teaches at Kumba Lodge, where his background, life experience, and steady presence bring depth to every session.
