Sophie Maclaren works internationally as a consultant, coach, and facilitator, supporting senior leaders across business and politics. Her work is grounded in applied flourishing through her affiliation with the University of Oxford’s Said Business School and the Centre for Eudaemonia and Human Flourishing. She also co-founded one of Europe’s leading consultancies for mindfulness and wellbeing in the workplace, bringing practical, high-level insight to organizations navigating pressure, performance, and change.
Her experience spans a wide range of clients, including law firms, global banks, the UK Parliament, the European Commission, tech executives, and Formula 1. Raised with teachers in the Kagyu, Nyingma, and Shambhala lineages, Sophie has spent her life studying, practicing, and teaching within these traditions. At the request of her teachers, she began teaching full time in 2004 and has since led hundreds of retreats and programmes, offering participants a grounded, thoughtful space for reflection, learning, and transformation.
