About Shweta Pandya
Based in New Jersey and originally from Detroit, MI, Shweta Pandya brings more than 20 years of training in Indian classical arts to her work as a singer, performer, and music teacher. She holds a Master of Arts in Performing Arts (Vocal) from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and has studied under Smt. Mrinalini Arkatkar of the Gwalior Gharana at Gamak Academy. In 2020, she founded Sur Sangat Academy to share the depth and beauty of Hindustani music with students around the world.
Shweta teaches Hindustani vocal music and keyboard, offering instruction that honors tradition while supporting learners at different stages of their journey. Her performance background includes appearances at respected venues such as the National Arts Club, 92NY, and Barclays Center, along with a 2024 tour with Barkha Dance Company. Students and audiences alike are drawn to her artistry, experience, and commitment to preserving classical music for future generations.
