Raised in Connecticut and based in Nashville since 2013, Shelby Baxter brings a grounded, thoughtful presence to every class she teaches. A retired runner, active mother of two, and passionate home cook, she approaches yoga with the same dedication and curiosity that have shaped her own journey of self-study and discovery.
She began exploring yoga in 2015 and completed her 200-hour RYT training in 2017. Her classes weave together asana, pranayama, mudra, yama, and niyama, creating a practice that is both purposeful and well-rounded. Expect measured, challenging movement, delivered with precise cues and careful attention to detail.
At the heart of her teaching is a simple goal: connection. Shelby invites students to move with awareness, deepen their understanding of the practice, and leave feeling more connected to themselves.
