Shawn Stevens (Red Eagle), an enrolled member of the Stockbridge Munsee Band of Mohicans, is a spiritualist, musician, artist, historian, and storyteller devoted to sharing his culture and knowledge. For decades, he has connected with his people’s ancestral homelands while presenting their cultural history across the eastern and midwestern regions of North America. Guided by a strong commitment to cultural preservation, Shawn supports understanding, healing, and unity in both individual lives and communities, creating a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the present moment.
As a Mohican storyteller, drummer, singer, flute player, and ordained minister, Shawn also serves as a certified facilitator for White Bison’s Mending Broken Hearts program. In his educational presentations, he explores the effects of ancestral trauma and encourages healing and positive transformation. Deeply committed to cultural revitalization, Shawn believes in the interconnectedness of all people and works to promote unity, well-being, and harmony. His work helps individuals reconnect with their roots, honor their heritage, and find balance, purpose, and a deeper connection to themselves and their communities.
