Shagane teaches an all-level class designed to support the body with pranayama breathing, mindful movement, and trigger-point self-massage using props. Her approach is grounded, accessible, and encouraging, helping students explore yoga in a way that feels both therapeutic and practical.
She has been teaching yoga since 1999, beginning with certification in the 26/2 hot yoga Bikram series and later expanding her studies through Iyengar yoga therapy with Doug Keller and Kevin Durkin. In 2016, her 500-hour certification deepened her focus on breathwork, meditation techniques, and myofascial release for connective tissue concerns.
Her work is centered on improving range of motion, easing stress accumulation, and making yoga more accessible, including for chair-bound individuals. Based in Kansas City, Shagane teaches at Hagoyah Yoga studio and privately.
