Description

Biography

My first encounters with psychedelics began in high school, initially from a recreational place, but they sparked a lasting curiosity about the deeper potential of these medicines. In 2011, I took part in my first formal plant medicine ceremony, and that experience set the course for the work I continue today. Since then, I have worked extensively with ayahuasca, including dieting in the Shipibo tradition, as well as peyote through the Native American Church and Wixarika traditions. I have also participated in Vision Quest and Sun Dance ceremonies, and have significant experience with mushrooms, San Pedro, MDMA, LSD, 2CB, and some experience with iboga.

Professional Background

My interest in understanding my own experiences of depression and anxiety, together with a deep fascination for human experience, led me to study psychology at Sydney University and Macquarie University. I practised as a psychologist in Australia while also exploring somatic healing meditation practices and a broad range of healing modalities. Later, I moved to the UK, completed additional training at King’s College London, and worked within the National Health Service (NHS).

Integration Practice

I was guided for many years by a personal meditation mentor and have spent time in Vipassana silent retreats, which have been deeply transformative for me. My work is grounded in the power of focused mindfulness to shift mental and emotional states and help regulate the nervous system. I have also studied Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry, Trauma and Somatics, and Magnetic Mind Coaching.

In 2016, I began working as an integration coach at Temple of the Way of Light in Peru, and I joined Soltara in 2019. I also collaborate with Body of Prana and Intertwining Medicines. I created a program called Mindfulness and the Medicine, which has been successfully offered at several retreats in Peru. Feedback from maestros and facilitators has shown that this approach helps create a more grounded atmosphere in ceremonies, giving people greater confidence in how to move through the experience.
