Human beings are layered, nuanced, and deeply individual. We do not fit neatly into boxes, and if you have arrived here, you may be ready to step beyond labels that were placed on you by others. Many people who are drawn to this work recognize themselves in one or more of the following experiences:
- Living with anxiety, whether it feels like a constant undercurrent, shows up as panic attacks, or falls somewhere in between. Depression may also be present.
- Being a feeler, highly sensitive, or empathic. You may experience emotions with great intensity, sense the pain of others, and feel overwhelmed, confused, or depleted because of it. You may also be ready to release the idea that being sensitive makes you “too much” or weak.
- Wanting to understand how the body, mind, and spirit may be connected to a physical concern. You may be seeking more than a quick fix and hoping to uncover the deeper pattern behind the issue. This may involve a serious condition such as cancer or stroke, or something more subtle and ongoing, such as a chronic cough or digestive discomfort. You may also be dealing with symptoms that Western medicine has not explained clearly. Whatever the form, there is potential to support your healing.
- Longing to deepen your connection to Spirit and perhaps serve others. You may be seeking greater clarity, guidance, and support so you can live more fully in alignment with who you truly are. This may also include strengthening your gifts so you can hold space for and be of service to others.
Before coming to this work, many people have already explored other paths. They may have tried counseling, increased self-care through yoga, meditation, diet changes, or self-help books. Some have worked with massage therapists, acupuncturists, or other healers. Others have turned to prescription or recreational drugs, sometimes reluctantly. These approaches may have helped somewhat, but not as much as hoped. Often, what they are seeking is a different angle on healing and growth.
