Sara Shinei Monial

Sara Shinei Monial is a Dharma Holder and Zen priest whose path has been shaped by more than a decade of dedicated practice. After completing her novice training at Great Vow in 2020, she continued to deepen her commitment to meditation, which she has practiced intensively since 2007. Her early years of spiritual training were spent in a sangha that emphasized simple living and harmony with the natural world, a foundation that continues to inform her teaching today.

With a BA in Education, she eventually left that field to devote herself fully to spiritual practice and teaching. At Sangha Jewel Zen Center in Corvallis, Oregon, she offers regular meditations, yoga, study, retreats, and one-on-one practice guidance. She also co-leads outdoor and wilderness retreats in the Pacific Northwest and Latin America, creating opportunities for participants to connect with practice in inspiring natural settings.
