Sameer Sharma Dhasmana is a person who moves beyond labels. A devoted musician, singer, poet, counselor, and more, he embraces many roles while resisting any fixed identity. Guided by awareness, he believes in meeting every part of life with honesty and an open heart, rather than turning away from reality.
Born and raised in Gurugram, Sameer comes from Toli, a village nestled in the Himalayas and the birthplace of Swami Rama, his grandfather. His deep love for human connection inspired him to continue the legacy of Swami Rama’s initiatives through SRI. Through his outlook, he shares inclusion and compassion, rooted in the vision of “conscious, harmonious living, motivated by love and truth.”
He does not see himself as a swami or a guru, and instead holds that questioning and meditation are the foundations of knowledge. By exploring questions such as what happens when we embrace everything and surrender to the absolute, or what truth truly means, he encourages conscious reflection and responsibility toward oneself and others, with honesty as the guiding seed thought. Music remains central to his heart, which is why he has also aligned himself with Nada Yoga alongside spiritual counseling.
SRI, Swami Rama Initiative has organized the annual Eye Contact Experience since 2017, along with several other projects locally and around the world. For Sameer, intention is a defining word that shapes the way he approaches everything.
