Rusty began his yoga path in New York City in 2000, where he soon discovered a deep sense of belonging and a lasting love for the practice. He sees yoga as a powerful way to bring the mind, body, and breath into harmony, while supporting a deeper connection with the True Self. Inspired by the timeless teachings of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad Gita, he approaches both learning and teaching with a beginner’s mind, staying open to curiosity, exploration, steadiness, and ease in every part of the practice.
In Rusty’s classes, the student’s experience comes before the appearance of any posture. His approach emphasizes integration, helping each person connect the many layers of self through movement, breath training, systematic relaxation, pranayama, and seated meditation. The result is a well-rounded practice that supports inner balance, calm, and overall well-being.
