Support. Originally from Lisbon, Ruben discovered his calling after moving to Alentejo. With a degree in social services, he began his career at a specialized institution supporting young people living with severe emotional disorders and addiction challenges. From an early age, he believed that meaningful change is possible, that trauma can be healed, and that a happier life can be built.
His path later brought him into addiction support, working directly with people affected by substance misuse. Since 2019, Ruben has been part of Quinta da Fé, home of Tabula Rasa Retreat. He offers compassionate, discreet, attentive, and empathetic guest support, serving as the main link between visitors and the wider support team.
His approach is rooted in the therapeutic care he once received himself. Ruben believes that deep listening and connecting with the inner child are essential to recovery, personal freedom, and the ability to choose one’s own path.
