Rowan Algoet
Description
Background
Rowan Algoet brings a rich and varied background to the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, drawing on experience in education, hospitality, and the movement arts. For the past 15 years, she has taught creative dance to children, and she continues to share the joy of movement with others in meaningful ways. Her teaching is shaped by studies in developmentally supportive movement and brain-compatible dance education, giving her a thoughtful approach that meets people where they are. Rowan has also worked in leadership and operations within the local food industry, where she helped guide teams and contribute to welcoming, well-organized environments.
Interests
Outside of work, Rowan enjoys cooking delicious meals, walking Salt Spring’s trails with her dogs, and dancing. She also loves moving and being involved in the island’s theatre community.
